The CPT® 2013 Bundling Trend Could Bring Reimbursement Woes With These EP Changes. Plus, There Is A Major PCI Overhaul!
What does CPT® 2013 have in store for cardiology practices? The answer is – a lot.
Once again, it looks as though the cardiology specialty will be heavily impacted with code changes for 2013. Looking at the changes for new codes and revised codes, you may take another hit on reimbursement. According to some experts, the goal over the past few years, it appears, is to completely streamline component coding for cardiology related procedures.
These changes include an overhaul to percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) codes, a revision to cardiac cath code instructions, EP evaluations with EP ablations, and new category I codes for VAD implantations.
Sign up for this 1-hour audio event presented by Terry Fletcher, CPC, CCC, CEMS, CMC, CMSCS, CCS-P, CCS, and you’ll get insights on new codes and reference documents for future use. Terry will provide you coding examples to try and crosswalk to 2013. You’ll get tools to assist your practice is creating a charge capture form. You’ll also get a snap shot to ICD-10 coding.
Start preparing early so you’re not scrambling over the holidays.
